Devised and managed by John Cristian Productions, the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols is one of Australia’s largest broadcast concert events.
We work in partnership with Brisbane City Council and Nine Network – to present a magical celebration of Christmas and an Australian platform for the most exciting and exceptional musical talent
Headline artists included Harrison Craig and Casey Donavan, Aria award winning a cappella group The Idea of North, ABC KIDS band Lah-Lah, acclaimed Argentinian – Australian baritone José Carbó, star soprano’s Mirusia and Carmen Monacha, boy soprano Luke Harrison, Opera Australia tenor Bradley Daley, soul – gospel sensations Luke Antony and Greg Gould, Egyptian – Australian Oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros, jazz artist and Paralympic ambassador Tony Dee, The Voice Australia finalists Ellen Reed and Sheldon Riley, and emerging country music artist, Bridget O’Shannessy.
Guest ensembles included Planet Funk Drum Line and The Fergies along with major Queensland performing arts companies; Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, Opera Queensland and Queensland Ballet.
The concert featured a symphony orchestra directed and conducted by John Foreman, alongside guest ensembles: Voices of Birralee – Youth Choir, Vocal Manoeuvres Carols Choir and the Carols Dancers.
